A Box With A Fragile Label On It

Everybody has a past that left a mark so deep in our hearts and brains that cause us to build a wall to anyone who dare to come into our lives. Yes we try to make peace with the past and move on with the future, but it’s often easier said than done. Yuanita is an independent woman who lived of this particular background. It wasn't until Irwan came along and shook her world that she realized that he’s different. He’s one in a million.

Often times, guys would pressurize women into pursuing a relationship with them. But it takes a faithful gentleman to truly break down those walls and gain a woman’s trust. A woman’s heart is like a box with a fragile label on it. We must treat it delicately and patiently.

Irwan and Yuanita were strangers who go to lunch together daily. They were teammates at a legal company in Jakarta. Nothing more. Until one day Irwan made a phone call to Yuanita and the rest is history. Yuanita thought that phone call was an innocent professional work related call. Her guard made her oblivious to the tender loving care that Irwan showered her with. But love comes from hearing; daily consistent hearing.

Those phone calls were cute, but it wasn't a strong enough gesture to Yuanita. Irwan began another persistent gesture. He would quietly but frequently put a light snack or cake on her desk at random time of day. Just to gently remind her that he’s thinking of her constantly. And he would wait for her until she is ready to be his one and only. This act continued on for three long years. Those three years did not go in vain. Yuanita finally decided to try to trust again. To love again. This time to love fearlessly, because he has taught her how to truly love.

Her heart was like a box with a fragile label on it. She was not ready. But he made her ready. With the tender loving care that he daily showed through his actions that declared his feelings louder than words ever could. And now Yuanita’s heart is like a treasure chest that is full of love and trust to the man that broke down her walls, Irwan. He treats her like a rose and gives her time to grow.
