Squad Goals

A wedding is a fairy tale made up of special moments. The main characters in the story are usually the joyous bride and groom, the happy parents, and the family. However, during William and Monica’s wedding, the fairy godmothers (the bridesmaids) took centre stage.

Finding a set of best friends is harder than finding needles in a stack of hay. If we are lucky, our fates will cross early in life. Not everyone is that lucky. Some of us might have to wait patiently until the right ones come along. Monica is blessed to have found her soul mates at such a young age. They went through many milestones together. Through all the mountains and valleys in their lives, they know they have a set of sisters to always fix each other’s crowns. When Monica’s said ‘YES!’ to William, it was no question that her four sisters are going to be her fairy godmothers; her bridesmaids.

These days, it has become very common for a bride to gift their bridesmaids thank-you presents on the wedding day. It usually comes with a box filled with fun goodies to prepare them for the day. But it is rare that the box contains pieces of memories from yesteryears that they have spent together.

Monica did just that. Instead of going the generic route, Monica completely went the sentimental route. When the bridesmaids opened their box, they couldn’t believe what they saw. Their eyes widened, their lips covered, laughter were shared. There were pictures of their silliest moments; photographs from simpler days. It was like unboxing a time machine. Those pictures transported them to the time when everybody rocked the same bangs style. It made them realize how strong their glow up game is. Most importantly, it reminded them of the bond that they shared supersede any roadblock this life throws at them. It was a privilege to witness and immortalize such a true friendship on William and Monica’s wedding day. We know that this moment belong in their beautiful box of friendship.

Great gifts are often personal, cost next to nothing, but takes a lot of effort to deliver. Monica’s diligence in faithfully documenting and collecting pictures really took us all by surprise. It was so thoughtful and generous of Monica to highlight their friendship at such a monumental day for her. William is more than blessed to be able to call Monica his wife. Monica’s lifetime friendship with her four best friends are #squadGoals.
